Swimming with the kids!

Sophia sporting her new two piece swimsuit
One thing I must have missed when I was younger was playing with physical games. My mom was just so strict with me getting wounded that I ended up reading more books than experiencing biking, swimming, etc. I have no complaints though because as it turns out, reading is my ultimate past time (that's another story though). As I was saying, not having as much opportunity to do physical activities lead me to decide that it might not be too bad for my kids to experience this. It might not be a bad decision especially when I see how happy they are to engage in such activities. It's just that I have to watch my mouth because I have this urge to scream anticipation as I ponder about al things that might go wrong.

Little fashionista, Sophia enjoys dressing up. She's like a life-sized barbie doll and that makes me and papa go gaga over dresses, swimsuits, accessories, and shoes! Kyle on the other hand enjoys playing with the toys even if he easily gets tired of them.

As nervous as I get whenever they engage themselves in physical activities, I can't find it in my heart to stop them. Merely seeing their happy faces makes my heart melt and dissolve my second thoughts. With regards to my kids, it would always be my struggle to choose between safety and letting them experience new things as much as they could. At the end of the day, my decisions would always be based on showing them how I love them-- on ways I know how. -- Mommy
